Problem

Some companies want to change the heading for the My Timesheet page.

Solution

Type any heading you want into the Page Header field.

Problem

Users would like to hide Planned Rows in the My Timesheet display

Solution

Click the Hide Planned Rows button to collapse the grid to display actual work cells only.

Problem

When the My Timesheet display contains many fields, the page can scroll far to the right, particularly when viewing in lower screen resolutions, causing all or some of the buttons on the page to scroll out of view.

Solution

Use the Set Left Alignment selector to align buttons to the left.

Problem

When the My Timesheet display contains many fields, some of the fields scroll out of view horizontally.

Solution

Set the Grid Width value to set a shrink-to value for the grid in pixels. When a user clicks the Reduce Width toggle button, the grid shrinks to the specified size and applies best-fit formatting to the data columns. Rename the toggle button labels using the Web Part Control Panel.

Problem

The standard grid display shows only half of the available rows, requiring the user to scroll within a small portion of the screen.

Solution

Use the Expand Rows toggle button to show all rows in the grid. Rename the toggle button labels using the Web Part Control Panel.

Problem

In some situations, users mistake the Save button and the Save and Submit button, thus saving their changes but failing to submit the updates, or vice versa.

Solution

The My Timesheet Tamer allows you to hide any button on the page by entering a list of buttons to hide, separated by a comma, in the List of Buttons to Hide field.

Problem

Many organizations have developed very specific internal terms data fields that do not agree with Microsoft Project’s labels.

Solution

Rather than teaching your staff a new language, use the Fields section of the My Timesheet Tamer to change the name of any standard or custom field that appears in the My Timesheet display.
